Stillwater fishing near Glenwood Springs, Colorado

Harcourt Fly Fishing 3G is excited to become the most diversified fishing outfitter on the western slope. While most people think of Glenwood Springs as one of the top places to fly fish in America, which it is, they don’t realize the great still water fishery that we have here.
Harcourt Fly Fishing has just partnered with Rifle Gap State Park and Mike Guffey, guide extraordinaire, to do fishing charters at one of the State of Colorado’s best multi specie lakes. Rifle Gap Reservoir’s 350 acres is surrounded by beautiful scenery and is located a little over 20 minutes west of Glenwood Springs, Colorado. Mikes been fishing this compound for over 20 years and knows it like the back of his hand. It’s loaded with really large rainbow and brown trout, some monster pike, small mouth bass, perch, blue gill, crappie, and walleye. There’s a good chance the state record Perch might come out of this reservoir. Mike’s boat is fully loaded with all the electronics that you can imagine, even electronic down riggers! If one specie isn’t on the bite, another one will be. He is totally set up for trolling, spin fishing, jig fishing, you name it.
If you are looking to learn how to still water fish, or how to improve your knowledge of the sport, Mike’s your man. This is a great family get away trip for a diversion to do something different in Colorado. It’s also a great back up plan if you are in the area and our rivers get too discolored to fish due to heavy rains or mud slides. Now you have an alternative.
This guided trip will only be available on Sundays and Mondays. For more information you can contact Mike Guffey directly at (970)379-6546, or check out the website of Harcourt Fly Fishing 3G, www.harcourtflyfishing.com, and go to the tab guide trips.
