Harvey Gap and Rifle Gap Reservoirs, are both incredible still water fisheries. Many clients like to go for the Northern Pike, but that is only one of many species available. Come check this out. If you want to spin fish, we’ve got this dialed in our really well equipped multi specie boat.
With all the electronics, including electronic down riggers, front and rear trolling motors, and a 225 hp motor to get you where the fish are, you will enjoy it. Our guide, Mike Guffey, has fished these waters for over 25 years, with a passion for fresh water fishing, he really has it dialed in. We have permits to guide on both Harvey Gap and Rifle Gap Reservoirs. Harvey Gap has Pike, Musky, small mouth bass, perch, crappie, bluegill, catfish and trout. Rifle Gap has these as well as walleye. Sometimes if the pike are not bitting, switching to another species can bring great success. Both reservoirs are about a 20 minute drive from the town of New Castle. Whether you are hunting for pike or taking the family out to catch whatever is biting, it is a wonderful alternative to fishing the river, especially during spring runoff, when many of our rivers can be unfishable. Beginners and experts will have a blast.
Please note that the power boat trip is only available on Sundays and Mondays, but we can do fly fishing trips out of a dory boat any day.
