It is always special for me to float my dad on Father’s Day, just prior to my no days off for 4 months. Today we did a 2 hour evening float trip on the Colorado River below Glenwood Springs. The river had cleared enough for some specular double dry fly fishing. We were joined by my youngest son Drake for a 3G (3 Generation) float trip, and it was amazing. So many takes and fish to the boat. We had 2 fish on one rod, and fish on both of their rods at the same time. This was the 1st day, that the river was really floatable and fishable, and we were the 1st one’s on it. For the next month and 1/2 it will only get better.
