I am blessed to have a wonderful job in a fantastic office, and to be able to be surrounded by some legendary guides in our valley. My dad got me into fly fishing when I was 2 years old, and we got my kids tying flies at that age as well. Thus 3G, three generations

When I’m not spending time with my family or guiding in the winter in Florida, I am here in the Roaring Fork Valley.  I love what I do 12 months out of the year, and have been a guide for over 20 years.  Come join me and let’s have a good time.

I really enjoy sharing my 60 years of fly fishing knowledge with both friends and clients, while listening to the sound of the river running from one ear to the other. There is magic in catching fish through someone else’s body, and to be on the river is a special moment for all of us.

My first fishing experiences go back to chasing fish with my Dad and Grandpa in both Illinois and Wisconsin and for that, I’ll ever be grateful for getting the chance to share fishing memories with both of them.  Growing up I played a ton of soccer which eventually took me to West Virginia University for both school and sports where after many years of attending class, rafting and fly fishing I graduated with a B.S. in Forestry Resource Management.

After leaving West Virginia I moved to Colorado where I have been for the last 16 years.  My love of fly fishing has only matured here as we are so fortunate to have so many great rivers close by.  The experience for me both on the water and off is something I find very special and look forward to sharing with you.

I love what I do. I’ve had my own fly fishing outfitting business, and there is nothing better than getting clients into fish and having fun doing it. Additionally, I enjoy sharing my 40+ years of fly fishing knowledge and being on Harcourt Fly Fishing 3G team. Please come join the fun.
